While painting the CT-900 wasn't quite as difficult as building the ship, it certainly provided it own set of challenges. After all, trying to match the colour scheme of a Lego model to a scratch built 'scale' model can be quite tricky.

So how do you go about transforming a Lego kit into a 'real life' Star Wars model. Well it's not the easiest task I've ever undertaken but somehow it seems I've come out of the ordeal with flying colours. And I also managed to produce a pretty kick ass model too boot!

I aten't dead! Yeah, it's almost been three months since the last post but I've been pretty damned busy lately. Some of it I can't even talk about yet! However I can talk about this model.

The new (8th) edition of Warhammer 40k has demanded quite a lot of my attention lately. Updating and adding some new stuff to one of my armies in preparation for a big tournament takes time! However I've still managed to sneak in some X-wing painting.

I'm certainly not the first person to ever mod a VCX-100 to have a docking bay for its shuttle. Heck there are even 3D printed parts to slot in. However most people don't need to make room for a full sized Phantom as well.

I can already hear someone asking; Why have I uploaded pictures of an unpainted VCX-100 'Ghost'? And it is indeed true that it has not been repainted. However, that does not mean it is unchanged. Oh no, this baby may not look like much, but she's got it where it counts.
